Update from bat land

Hello there, I’ve realized I’ve been a bit quiet on the tumblr front recently so I thought I’d come and resolve this issue and let you all know what I’ve been up to in the past week or so!

On Wednesday, I got back into Bristol after visiting family in the North West and no sooner was I out at the car, I was at Temple Meads Station picking up my friend Bill who had caught a train from Bangor in Wales to come and see my gig at The Croft, which has got to be one of the nicest things anyone’s ever done for me! Bill is also a harpist and has only been playing since November, and he is already sounding and playing brilliantly. :) It was so lovely to have another harpist there to hang out with and make harp related puns that nobody else finds funny other than us.

On Thursday, after showing Bill the sights of Bristol - which somehow ended up in a minor caving expedition at the Clifton Suspension Bridge Observatory and me almost dying of fear on Cabot Tower’s spiral staircases - we arrived at The Croft super-duper early to find out I was playing at a much later time.

But not to fear, because Lucy and Zach were there with their cameras and took such absolutely amazing images (as always) before the show.

I started my set at about half past nine to 8 people, so that was kind of nerve wracking to be playing to such an empty room but in the first four or so songs that room had completely filled up, it was lovely to see so many chilled out faces enjoying the set, even if I did mess up on a number of occasions and my voice was feeling groggy.

Today, I’m off to Factory Studios to meet up with Jess from CollisTV  to do a performance of Kill the Wolf and a little interview of sorts so when that’s up I’ll post it on here.

I’m also back at The Croft next week supporting Rosie Vanier (Rosie and the Goldbug) on an all girl singer/songwriter line up so that should be epic. Here’s the poster -

You can buy tickets online here or the Bristol Ticket Shop!

so hopefully see you next time, and the harps send their love… as always :3
